I forget what hospital it was called… I visited him there once when I was in college, but I don’t remember what it was called.
“But he’s NOT judge Judy and executioner!”
Gods! Simon Pegg is HAWT with the shaved head and shades!
There’s a lot of Point Break reference, not just in this movie, but in many movies. Really interesting, considering how crappy that movie was.
Especially now that he’s turned on his scratchy husky “badass” voice.
Heh- you visited Youngstown? Crazy. And no, I don’t have any family in the mob. But I know folks who do…
Uh, yeah…
At this point, the movie turns into a British version of “bad boys”.
After the guffaw at “Eff you, grasshopper!” My neighbors probably hate me…
Yeah, Youngstown seemed a little dumpy… no offense.
Uh, none taken. It is dumpy. It was once a very nice place, but the steel mills closing in the 70’s destroyed it. It’s only now starting to come back a bit. And I never lived in Youngstown, anyway. Hubbard is a small town, but very suburban middle-class.
See, this is exactly what Warren Beatty is talking about in Bulworth! Industrial centers vacating inner city creates a vacuum that collapses into a ghetto.
Yup. That’s why they call it the Rust Belt. Cleveland’s in sort of the same situation, only it happened much more slowly. But since it’s a bigger city, it had a bigger financial base. Most of the industry now in Cleveland is medicine.
So, yet another movie that Bill Nighy makes a completely random cameo in.
And I find that this British parody of buddy cop movie is better than most buddy cop movies I’ve seen.
Cue Keanu Reeves
"Crappy?? Woa."
Hey y’all I just created a Happy Birthday thread for RMHPH. Check it yo!
Crusty Jugglers! (Heck, not even the Urban Dictionary has figured that one out yet…)

Yeah, sorry about that. On the other hand, we would have been hugely impressed if you managed to join us for a frak party that had advanced warning of 7 seconds.
