Y’know, you’re right. They’ve got a similar look.
You have uncovered the 13th cylon!
gaf
are you sure that’s not god herself?
Still working through #80. Regarding the continuing acting career of Ms. Sheedy, her sorta comeback film is on cable this month. And was on this morning, in fact. Sundance Channel is running High Art, her last big-deal film role. Which was, holy geez, like ten years ago now.

That’s just freaky
and Emily Watson also had natural curly hair like Ally Sheedy. If she didn’t straighten her hair in that picture, even their hair’d be identical.
So now we know whos gonna play Ally Sheedy in E!'s THS
damn - she did have hotness going on tho…
The thing about Falken’s delivery to the kids that comes out as dry and rote (in my rationalization) is because he is not talking… he is lecturing. I’ve had college teachers that sounded just like this.
I think I’m in the same age bracket as Chuck and I completely agree that back in the day, it took so much more dedication and desire to be computer savvy. They just weren’t as accessible. Another thing, some of the documentation that was available from the old school bbs’s… let’s just say that it was electronics related and less than legal. At least that’s what I heard…
So yeah, computer nerds in the eighties were more electronics savvy than they are today… that being said, I don’t think there were instructions on bypassing government grade electronic locks, but maybe I wasn’t looking hard enough.
According to IMDB, The Ferrari Garage is actually an auto museum in Highland Park Illinois - (Near lake Michigan- with nice ravines for cars to land in, and North of the City) The High School is filmed in Glenbrook at Glenbrook North.
Sorry Audra, not Park Ridge, though Highland Park is almost Due East of Park Ridge. Park Ridge is famous for fostering the young Harrison Ford and Hillary Clinton - Supposedly only a few years apart in H.S.??
ok just listen to Podcast 80! and had to comment that T2(Terminator 2) is an awesome movie! To me this was the movie for the 90s and I think it was the 2nd movie I bought for My dvd player when they first came out… Of course the first movie was the Matrix! But For 80’s movies I think of Top Gun , War Games etc… But for all time great 90’s Movies T2 is great!
Real Genius ROCKS! One of my all-time favorites!
I imagine that the dynamic at work between Chuck and Sean is pretty similar to that of Jim and Malvin…
Lol. I won’t ask which is which.
You know, I told Chuck and Sean back when we watched the movie that Ally Sheedy looks just like Hermione (Emma Watson) and they were like, no, nah, don’t see it at all. Thanks for your picture to help support my theory!!
To defend the guys: I sort of had the same reaction at first, but once I thought about it, well, it made sense. The pix above confirm it. I think, for Americans anyway, that the differences in speech imply a larger difference, but if you just look at the pix…
Well, there you are.
“I drank what?”
I love that movie.
Just finished #80 (woefully behind), but it was fun to listen to the WarGames chatter. I loved that movie, and I still watch whenever it graces the television. I think that was the first movie that used “Mr. Potato Head!” in a derogatory manner.

The walls of the 60- by 40-foot building are lined with posters for “Star Wars,” “Tron” and “Battlestar Galactica” (the original series, not the recent remake).
Cool.
My gods…it is my Mecca!
…get job doing what that guy does. Plan B: Befriend that guy.
Holy cow! I think I’m in love!
