Keith… if I’ve heard a cooler Fable II story I can’t remember it! That is awesome!
 Holy craaaap! Sean posted on the forum!
Boy, you’ve got that right. This time it even looks like blood instead of red dye.
I managed not to watch the mistakenly released episodes before they were pulled from Youtube, etc. - so feel free to correct me if I am wrong here (you can post any correction as a spoiler). Also, others may already hqve gone down this road and I just missed the posts.
When the mission was dispatched, it had to be with the belief that (the one and only) Athena was aboard. Wrong. How did that happen? Who pulled the switcheroo - if anybody? Is that “event” the tie in to the overall story line?
Now we have an 8, who is acting way more like Boomer than Athena - and I am not just talking about the killing mode. The expression on BYBBQB’s face just before Gaeta discovers the bodies reminded me of the expression on Boomer’s after she shot Adama.
I was freaked out by the expression of 8. I am not sure what it meant, but it was not good.
There was no reference to Athena at all on the mission. It was just a couple of “skin jobs”
True - but who else that looks exactly like her could/would have been assigned? So it seems to me that either Athena has “relapsed” or somebody or something made a “substitution”. I lean towards the latter. (Which, if so, also raises the question - where’s Athena? Maybe the relapse scenario is more plausible. In any event, this issue seems to have relevance to the “big story”.)
To me it seemed like an over the top “what have I done?” look - just like on Boomer’s face after she shot Adama, if memory serves. Very disturbing.
Fable 2 is all right, but it is insultingly easy. You can’t even die. If you run out of health, you just get a scar. Sean, if you are liking the game, you might want to check out Fallout 3, which also came out around the same time as Fable 2. I think you might like it: post-apoctilipia, robots, making your own weapons, mutants, and tough choices. Hell, you even get a Fatman—a portable, mini-nuke launcher. On the other hand, if you want to go medieval, you can scavenge a motorcycle handbrake and gas tank, a stove pilot light, and a lawn mower blade, and create a homemade flaming sword.
I’m not really following you on the Athena angle OT. There wasn’t a mission for anyone to be assigned. They were going for some R&R.
Oh - but regardless - we’ve got an 8, in uniform, from Galactica on a Raptor. Unless the webisode is set before the series starts - who else could it be but Athena or a poser as Athena? What am I missing? (I’m sure it would be obvious, if I had been paying closer attention.)
OH! Her, she’s in a cylon flight uniform. If you remember during the Cylon civil war they had a whole unit of the rebel cylon’s suited up to fly in their own version of a uniform. She was wearing one of those. At first I thought it was Athena too…but it’s a different uniform.
Ah - the devil is in the details. (I wonder where they do the sewing on a Basestar and who are the tailors?)
Save me the trouble of going back to rewatch all the segments - what the heck is a (admittedly friendly, well sort of, until, you know) Cylon rebel #8 doing on an R&R break with humans? Who thought that was a swell idea - especially given the history of 8’s - particularly Boomer (civil war alliances or not)?
There’s also the history of Athena, so that kind of balances out.
I don’t think it was said they were going on R&R. They were just catching the same shuttle for whatever reason (as was Mr. “I must take better care of my tools.”)
It could have been a shuttle run that started with the spiny ship and went on from there.
Well, I went back and rewatched, and first let me say “ARE YOU WITH ME!!! - because now I am ACTING!!! And I always shout when I ACT!!!”
I think you’re right - the original crowd was not all on R&R. Happenstance of a routine shuttle run.
But then it gets a bit too coincidental - false Cylon alert, jump to wrong coordinates, cannot jump back (very well) to original coordinates (I know, “the red line”) and murder. Causes one to wonder whether “this” all was planned. If so, of course obvious questions arise. And then there is the title. Baffling - except to those who watched 8 and 10, when they were available.
In any event, I’ll return to the understatement of the day - what are the humans doing putting so much faith in the 8 models, knowing what they know about them? There is Pike’s Athena point, but…
I DO NOT KNOW OLDTIMER!
Oh wait sorry, I was acting there. Your question does raise some very good points.
WELL - THE TRAILER CERTAINLY HAS SOLD ME ON UNDERWORLD AND LYCANS (whatever they may be)!!! I’LL BE CAMPED OUT TO BE SURE TO GET IN FOR THE FIRST SHOW!!! THEN I SHALL KILL THEM ALL!!!
I just now realized that the guy (Micheal Sheen) doing all the shouting in those trailers is the same actor who plays David Frost in Frost/Nixon and played Tony Blair in the The Queen. He certainly does seem to have the ability to play the extremes of inhibition and extroversion…
As long as he did no permanent damage to his voice in Underworld.
I was just thinking about Kirk’s glasses and then you all go and mention the scene. What I was thinking was that while Kirk may have been allergic to Retinax 5, why would he have been allergic to Laser (or Phaser) surgery?
