GWC Podcast #133 (Bonus)

My wild and crazy theory is that Cavil is the one who nuked Earth, and he is now the chasing the fleet around.

Even better, I think I have a d4 at home with the corners clipped apparently for child safety, but now I can argue they’re for cultural appropriateness…

Edit: Who knows? Maybe the cut corners in Colonial society really is just do to a very active and progressive OSHA regulations…

Do NOT let Uncle Lou hear you say that!

That occurred to me, as well. Also, how would Pilot 8 have known how to fix anything in a Colonial Fleet vessel? That led me to consider that she might be the same 8 that creepily downloaded Boomer’s and Athena’s memories so she could be more like them. That might have taught her what she needed to know. But I am not sure if they thought it through all the way- could just be a tiny dangling thread.

Hats off to all of you who have made graphics. But how much would it suck to be Ensign Easy? That poor woman! You know Hot Dog picked her call sign.

We can arrange that.

What if it was BYBBQ8 who stripped the plyers?

nah, she would have put bbq tongs in the tool bag to begin with.

Nah. Try this on:

Starbuck nuked Earth. She goes there, it is fine, she comes back, it is trashed.

She was just too drunk to remember.

Your theory somehow makes more sense.

Yup, one Starbuck bender should pretty much do it…

That theory is the best I’ve heard so far.

Sweet As! How awesome are you?

Now, weapons. I know Gaeta must have his trusty pen somewhere.

Clue made the NBC Nightly News last night.

I wish for source of this nonsense.

The FF need some kind of impetus to “turn on” to who they are. This scenario is such a thing. It is traumatic–people are dying. Gaeta is the FC. He ends up covered in blood, after all. The deal with the Sharon is that he helped betray his own kind on NC unbeknownst to himself at the time. He flips out as a result. I predict he returns suspecting he is the FC, but tells no one at first.

He’s Death. Why else torment him so? He needs to be reminded of who he is. Betcha Starbuck, the “Harbinger of Death” tips him over the edge resulting in a bloody hammer party of some sort.

If I am right I hope there is no “freaked over being gay/tried not be/gotta kill humanity” thing going on.

You should know: 100% of the time when predicting BSG I am wrong. We can now safely remove this idea as a possibility.

Not necessarily. Brooks had the pliers and both his hands inside the panel, obstructed from view.

So, I guess Brooks is Suspect #1, which means it probably can’t be him.

Hard not to agree with that logic. :stuck_out_tongue:

Great movie, with great comedic actors.

There was talk of a Clue rewatch during the Young Frankenstein frak party, although we still haven’t done it yet. Anyone interested?

I’m still reeling from the fact that 8 died so easily. Perhaps it’s a cylon thing? Even though they are mortal now, they’re not used to being careful, like checking to see if the insulation rubber is on the handle.

An excellent point. They’re like children running out into the road; they occasionally forget that death is permanent.

ETA: And on the question of resurrection, it just occured to me that while Six is pregnant with Tighbaby, there are no other examples of cylon/cylon procreation. Add in their obsession with the whole idea of it, and examples of their inability (the farm), doesn’t that render the cylon race (other than merging with the humans, because we do have clear conclusions that cylon/human babies do work, while Six has yet to give birth to a healthy baby) a dead race if they can’t resurrect? Whatever the population of cylons are, it essentially can’t grow. For that, does that mean the destruction of the Hub is enough ‘payback’ for the genocide? It amounts to almost the same thing, if not worse. And given the dangerously low number of procreation able humans (40 some K minus the infertile/old/etc…) and what I suppose is a higher number of cylons who has yet to prove their ability to procreate, then never mind Earth or Egads! the final cylon, the end game is obvious; the two speices can’t live without one another, and the future generation would have to most likely ‘cross pollinate’ in order to survive as one merged species.

Or we get the “grim” ending that EJO promised, with mutually assured destruction of the bulk of both races. Only those who can cooperate will survive.

In that case, do I smell either an assasination on Six’s cylon cylon baby or a troublesome pregnancy coming up? That would be the one thing (well, other than the possibility that they are able to resurrect) that would give the Cylons the upper hand.

I just hope they don’t go the whole “Starchild” route.

EagainTA: I realize this isn’t really a discussion on the webisode, but this thought sparked from Chuck’s discussion on the whole ressurrection thing, so, apologies. Also apologies if this has been talked about/resolved already in the past, and I’m a big idiot for bringing it up again.

It’s all good. It has been discussed previously, but not really in earnest for quite some time. It’s always nice to get a fresh perspective on an old argument, especially one that really never was (or could be) resolved.

Ask, and you shall receive. :stuck_out_tongue:

As Chuck noted, just because he thinks he’s a good mechanic, doesn’t necessarily mean that he actually is.

Brendon and Glimfeather are kicking some serious sorrybarb with these game graphics!

I think we’ve got our culprit right there. Isn’t it obvious? Praying to Poseidon because “it’s still a ship”. What’s the “killer of the sea”?

Shark. QED.

You missed one place.

Outside.

That could also be a weapon, as well.

You’d think that such an expert on dice would know and use the correct singular of “dice”.

Love your avatar.

If we follow the Whedonverse rules, being gay means he will either die or become evil. So if he survives…

OMGs!!!

Venkman=Garfield and Ray=Freddie from “Scooby Doo”? Oy, trying to process that weirdness makes my head hurt…

If we follow the Whedonverse rules, being gay means he will either die or become evil. So if he survives…

OMGs!!!

I don’t think they’re going to kill off Gaeta in a webisode. Now Hoshi, though–the writers are wonderfully evil enough that they’d kill off Hoshi.

YES!!! Funniest thing EVAH!!! bwahahahaha
