For the PC, here’s what we do.
My brother downloaded a Firefox widget for YouTube where you can just click on a little icon on the page that says “Download this video”.
Once the file is saved, we convert it using Jodix (it’s free) so it becomes an MP4.
Upload the file on your iTunes so it’s posted as a video.
I’m sure in Pike’s case, it’s the truth, but no one’s ever accused me of “technological superiority” before. little problems like this are why I cough up an extra $100 to apple every year to maintain my .mac subscription

That. Was. Priceless!! (as in there is no price, you just keep paying and paying…). you can have my mac when you pry it from my cold dead fingers, but they do know how to make you keep forking it over, don’t they?
Sigh. One reason why I’m resisting the urge to buy my own Mac laptop… I’m sticking with PCs. I’m sure once I go Mac, I’ll never go back… :rolleyes:

I use FireFox, so using that widget will be easy enough. I’ve got another conversion program to convert for MP4, but it that doesn’t work for me, I’ll give that Jodix a try.

If there are any TiVo users out there, you know that now you can watch YouTube vidoes via TiVo. The other day it was so cool watching Stroogie’s awesome GWC 100th Tribute video on my TV!!
I have a DVR but not a TiVo. It sounds like great fun.
As I was walking around Lowes today trying to catch up on summer project completions, what came over the music intercom ?? “1 2 3 4” …I instantly began grinning like a fool. (Well, more of one than usual.) I felt like part of a secret club that had just gotten a coded message.

In a kinda related story: I was playing phone tag last week trying to get in touch with someone in the industry I work in, trying to set up a meeting with a company she represents blah, blah, blah. Anyway, her name happens to be Barbara.
So I call her up and get her voicemail, and I begin leaving my message. Now what I intended to say was “Sorry Barb. Missed your call earlier–got your voicemail…”. But all I got out were the words “Sorry Barb” and then I started giggling hysterically. I still haven’t figured out what to say when I talk to her next to explain what I found so hilarious. At this point she probably thinks I’m a real ass (sorry Barb:D)
