Yeah - then we’re right back to the Paradise Lost metaphors.
They get some unexpected help from Sam I think. I said it before: “Sam’s brainwaves have gotten weird. The Doc says he is in a comma, but the harmonic complexity of those brainwave patterns looked familiar to me. I think they might herald a chronic case of Deus Ex Machina accompanied by another acute bout of exposition-dumpitis.”

Just a question… has Galactica ever used any of the nuclear ordnance they picked up from Ragnar Anchorage? I know they’ve made them ready for deployment a couple of times… but don’t recall them using them.
Might be interesting.
Indirectly they used one to take out Cloud Nine…
Exactly what i was thinking. I don’t trust Head Six.
Hera definitely indicated a final showdown, and an FTL jump from within the colony by a ship coming apart at the seams sounds awesome (and you can bet Tigh and Adama will be the guys running that one). I figure Sam can jump them all to the colony easy enough with the basic premise that Cylons have wicked awesome FTL tech.
I wonder if they will find a planet to live on, ultimately, or if the journey of BSG will end with the remnants of the fleet derelect in space, with no home but the ships they pilot, humanity’s end staring back at them.
Don’t forget that SAM and KARA have Angels wings tattoo’ed on them. One wing each if I recall. so together they make ONE completerangel…
They still have some left that Adama was ready to nuke the algae planet with. I can’t remember how many launch tubes Adama ordered to be opened, but it was at least 4-5. I seem to recall a comment saying that that would have been all of the remaining nukes.
Isn’t it obvious what Adama means? Spinners, neon, and gold trim all over the place.
Stylin’
1 used in Kobol’s Last Gleaming to take out a basestar.
1 used by Gina to destroy Cloud Nine.
Of course, they might have moved some from Pegasus to Galactica when they were both around to even things out, but no way to know for sure.
Have Hybrid Sam jump them in close to the colony and launch a raiding party into it.
Then jump near the closets basestar and nuke it. And keep doing it as long as they can.
That’s my idea.
I think they will use a Hybrid Sam to jump into the middle of the Cylon Home Fleet. Then Unleash all of their Nukes. They still have a bunch now and they have yet to fire them. I think its high time they do that.
It’s going to be so funny to see Cavil’s reaction.
“The Galactica’s here”!
“Where did it go”?
“There it is”!
“It’s gone”
“Oh motherfraker it’s right on top of us”!!
Cavil is SOOO dead.
in that gigantic mess, they’re going to have to go in and get hera. cause u know helo/athena are not going to stand by while their child gets nuked. i think they will somehow get hera back (killing cavil and boomer in the process) but both helo and athena will not live. they already did the story where the cylons capture hera, and then hera is brought back to a lovely reunion between her, helo, and athena. not this time. someone is going to pay.
Or they might have moved them the other way. Pegasus was fighting a bit more that the Bucket.
Actually the episode of Star Wars: the Clone Wars Storm Over Ryloth (you can watch it there) Is very reminiscent of a plausible out come of the impending final battle

If Anders is piloting the Old Girl and they are ramming a basestar, no more Anders
-
“Angels make good things happen” like presaging the destruction of Sodom and Gomorrah?
-
Didn’t Ellen and Co. make the big, ugly colony ship? Betcha she knows something about that ship and the rabbit she pulls out will be handy
-
if ramming does not occur, Sam and Kara’s wings = Angel(s) of Death with Kara being the harbinger of Sam. . . okay so we are back to ramming or exploding
-
Kara came from somewhere. Ellen came to be on Cavil’s ship. Perhaps, as they blast the Colony, they die–then resurrect on the very ship they destroy dying twice (3x for Kara) proving Kara is a cylon as they go up in flames.
Yeah, but Pegasus was an active warship, so it was fully armed before the war began as opposed to Galactica, which just got as much as they could from an old anchorage. You’re right that Pegasus probably popped off a few nukes, but I’m sure it had more than the 5 Galactica started with.
I bet you are right… But I don’t know… Maybe I am getting old now, but I swear that I can remember that have done that before.
It has to be a red herring by the writers. Arguably it shows the Big G among Basestars. Also, she can ram all the Basestars she can handle - that won’t solve the real “problem” - the Mother Ship, er, sorry, The Colony.
