Good News-
I found work at an unlikely source, I saw the job posting on Craigslist and thought, âWhat the Hell, I might as well applyâŚâ A couple of weeks latter I went in and interviewed and nailed the job good.
Bad News-
I have to lie to my relatives about where I work, OK maybe not lie⌠But shall we say; leave things out. I tell them it is a nightclub, which is essentially true. And that there are entertainers there, which is true⌠I just donât tell them that these entertainers dance and take their clothes off. :o
Thatâs right, I am working at a Gentlemanâs Club. You may Sean Scream now, I will not be offended. I am the new Chef there. It is a very high-end place, with amazing architecture and decorations. Though I doubt the customers pay much attention to such thingsâŚ
This is really going to help my writing too, since my character Suzi in a number of short stories is supposed to be hiding out on a very nefarious colony/trade hub along the outer rim. And takes up a job as musician in a âfetish clubâ in the seedy âclub districtâ. This experience will make my description of such a club and the clientèle which come with it all the more real.
Very different from the usual places I have Chef-ed at but whatever, it is a job⌠And I will make the best of it.

Dude, I say this from experience. Whatever you do, donât go out with ANY of them. I donât care if they throw the green Orion slave girl charm on you, or dress up like a femtrooper. It will end badly.

Sooo many stories. Some will send you straight to your bunk, others will make you say WTF?!?
The girls pretty much get a long like this: On Monday, girl A and girl B are pals and they donât like girl C. Tuesday, girls A and C are pals, and they hate girl B. Wednesday, they think a good way to piss off girl B is to try to hook up with her boyfriend. That only works if they tell her about it, and the really crappy part is that the boyfriend doesnât have to be guilty to be implicated. It takes a few days of sleeping on the couch for girl A to let it slip to girl D who doesnât like girl C so she tells girl B that her boyfriend took the moral high road but girls A and C lied.
After the truth comes out girl B feels really bad about not trusting her boyfriend, so she invites girl D over to help make it up to him. IYKWIM
2 weeks later, girl B and girl D hate each other, and girls A and C (who are BFFs with girl B now) subtly drop the implication that maybe girl Bâs boyfriend gave girl D a little too much attention during the makeup encounter. It doesnât help that girl B is bi-polar and (unbeknown to everyone) pregnant.
That was a long time ago, and girl B is now my ex-wife and our son is 15. Heâs a good kid, and Iâve made sure that he knows Han shot first.

First line maintenance tech contracted to the above company
Assembly supervisor for an electronic cigarette distributor.
and am currently a full time student working towards a BS in civil engineering, which will be followed by a double major in structural and architectural and HOPEFULLY a PhD in Structural. I want to build psychotic skyscrapers and disturbing Malibu homes for the filthy rich.
Also I want my sister who has 2 Masters to have to address me as âDoctorâ muhahahaha
