So who else had a name back them, beside Goliath? All of the other names were slightly more recent, IIRC.
You will see all of these flashback characters in future episodes. We find out what happens to everyone. One of the greatest things about this series is the amount of backstory and character development they cram in.
Except for the elbow bits.

The castle is called Castle Wyvern. so named for the creatures that inhabited the cliffs there before it was built.
The rest all get NYC names later on. Except the women, whose names indicate Good and Evil because there’s nothing like a little Madonna/Whore complex in your epic animated goodness.
