It’s interesting to think about how each Astrid chose to excel in a different side of life–our Astrid in emotional intelligence and Asterisk (Walter gives the best nicknames) in analytics and military intelligence. And while Astrid seems sad and missing something, Asterisk feels bereft and just tragic. Why the difference?

Nah. At the end the one in the suit held out her hand with uncertainty. If it had been the other one, she would have overenthusiastically offered a hug, as she assumes our Astrid would do.
She could be autistic but it’s not for sure. If so, she wouldn’t have cared whether her father loved her. She wouldn’t have been able to tell.
