I have no comment, or opinion or advice. I am simply observing this is the kind of discussion that makes GWC what it is.
That nurture really has a bigger influence on people than the nature side of things IMO. I’m just now in the same position as you are, having left my parents influence. Well ideology wise that was already some years ago, but now also living in another country for most of the time on my own.
Being not really the most socially adapt guy, although I like being around with friends, I’m surprised that our friendship has lasted over 2 years. Without ever meeting her in person or talking to her over the phone.
Having been a member of a few genre communities, I can’t tell you how glad I am for being inside the GWC family.
Yeah, when each of us have more time in the coming months, I’ll try to discuss that topics with her.

I would so totally do that to some people I knew back home if I could…
I come from a pretty conservative part of North Carolina, and the best I can say is to talk with her about the surrounding issue and come back to the show later. Getting some people to be able to deal with the idea of holding the idea without accepting it can be quite a challenge, and I’ve found a lot of guys and girls back home can’t manage it.
For a lot of people I’ve just had to learn to censor myself around them.
Thank you, I really appreciate your reply.
For now I’ll let the topic sit still with her.
