Not particularly, because it removes the coercion, illegality badness of it. Though the “whore” bit bothers me a lot.

Well, indentured servitude is alive and well in various forms throughout history, and even in modern times and today. Being forced to work for a set duration until your obligation has been paid off… that’s not the same thing as slavery.
