The dread is great. It carries the story along. It reminded me of Hitchcock’s story-telling.

It was really a unique fantasy/quest story.
In the TYPICAL fantasy story there’s a quest to go and FIND something.
In Lord of the Rings it’s a quest to DESTROY something. Not often done in literature.
Come to think of it, the Elves’ hang out aint too shabby either.
