I think you’re talking about “Return of the King.” I’m listening to it now
I have all three soundtracks on a playlist that I use for marathon study sessions. I use the vocal pieces at the end of each CD (May It Be, Gollum’s Song, Into the West) to time my study breaks, and they’re probably my favorites since I usually devote more attention to them.
The Bridge of Khazad Dum for sure, though of course I greatly enjoy the entire thing.
Seconded!
Also, I love “Amon hen” - from the end of Fellowship when the Uruk-hai attack the gang. Very heroic!
I did a special edit for myself compiling material from all three soundtracks, editing out the harsh or intense stuff. Particularly the bit from The Bridge Of Khazad Dum where Gandalf falls; I call it “Flying Fools, Crying Fools”. It makes great background music for reading or writing, or just plain relaxing. I don’t dislike the louder sections, I’m just easily distracted.
That sounds really cool, I’d love to hear it as well. I made a “Best of Lord of the Rings” CD for the car, but thats about as far as my musical composition skills go.
