SciFi could have aired it. I don’t remember if they did or not though. Basic cable was a wild place in the early days.

Do yourself a favor and rewatch this ep with the commentaries. Lots of interesting tidbits including why John’s accent is heavier, and talking about Michael Shanks as Claudia’s new leading man. The commentaries on the A&E complete set seems to be recorded after Claudia appeared on SG1, but before Ben did. Plus, it’s extremely entertaining. ^^
On the commentaries, Ben said the broadcast audience heard “ship.” (:
