See, I was curious about that… a lot of the clothes he wears, his shoes, his dresses and pantsuits, they seem purpose-made. So it’s true, there really IS transvestite stores. Cool.

DVD has subtitles. There’s also really long opening title… which is not really all that interesting except it shows the audience section, so you can tell how small and crammed it is. Tall, majestic, ornate theater, except it only seats 900 people, so it’s really an odd dimension, and therefore the odd acoustics.

The transvestites I knew shopped at Goodwill. A few also made their own clothes, as did most of the drag queens. I’m guessing there are better alternatives in large cities, of course. Now, with the internet, I doubt they have any problems finding things in their sizes.
Who knows where the Brits come up with anything? I was just arguing with a Jamaican co-worker about the proper pronunciation of “lieutenant”. Where did the “F” sound come from? The French don’t pronounce it like that, so where’d the English get it?

I read something about this when I was on my Aubrey kick, and I think the Brits actually get it in a round-about way from the Spanish (IIRC) but I can’t find it now.
The American pronunciation is the correct one, BTW.
