I was wondering about that. How would this episode resonate with non-psycho rabid fans like us? This episode was a powder keg that has been built since the mini-series. It was very intricate and painted very well. I think RDM should be proud with his directorial debut. I really liked they way he filmed Adama. The camera really loved Eddie in this. They were dancing.
I think Helo will end up the only sane voice of reason–whatever that means.
I think I’m gonna go watch the episode again now, with the RDM podcast.
I may backtrack and synch up when the West Coast Frak starts.
I think that’s gonna be Lee’s role.

Just to put it out there, the tactic that Adama uses to get the information on the tillium ship from Zarak is called a “file and dossier” approach and it is one of the most effective approaches used in modern interrogation.
I was trained as a US Army interrogator and I lol’ed when I saw Adama do that.

In case that was not enough, I was an MP and ran the second largest arms room on the Korean Peninsula for about a year.
