Dragon Wars: D-War 10/17 @ 10 PM ET

Next Sunday at 8 PM ET?

Now his silly amulet does something useful!

Whoa. It’s just like Spike’s necklace.

Before Neverending Story? That would work for me…

WWF with snakelike Dragons!

They’re wyrms, technically.

Cool transformation.

Nice shot! And he’s down!

I like having the traditional Eastern-style dragon as the “good guy”, although tended not to be fire-breathers.

OK. Done.

Coolest Asian style Dragon I have ever seen.

It was not as painful this time, I did not have to endure it alone.

It is stilly silly and meandering, but has some very cool effects and designs.

Yeah, I don’t know if there’s any real cultural basis to the legend that’s lost on American audiences, but the cast was fairly reasonable and the effects were truly well-done. I think a bit of script tweaking and some direction would have certainly helped, but it wasn’t utterly terrible.

Some of the old woodcarvings and fresco’s show fireballs alonside the Dragons, but not all that many… So I tend to agree, but since this was after a transformation I guess it makes sense. A power-up if you will.

No not at all, for me the main problem was the pacing and excessive exposition. Exposition is fine if you do it while the characters are doing something, the same with long strings of dialog. Keep the characters in motion; driving, running, or even collecting information or doing research. It helps with the pacing, keep up the excitment. Keep the characters KINETIC!
