Poor, poor Topher
The music is so wonderful.
Scut has a Santa button. hehe
They are together. cry
Um did the end just get cut off? Because that’s what it felt like.
Yes, it sure did.
It just ends, like a slap in the face. ouch
I can’t imagine the crew and cast recording this episode.
High-tech Sopranos-style ending.
This bears watching again, I think.
I mean, I knew it was ending, but it cut to the Mutant Enemy and then more commercials really awkwardly. Took me out of the moment, not so cool.
Hm. I have mixed feelings on this ending. On the one hand, glad to see that tech could be reversed. On the other hand, felt like something was missing.
And Topher breaks my heart. Who would have thought of that, at the beginning of the series?
Sopranos all over again.
Hive mind and definitely.
Just watched it again. The ending song really struck me because I could pay more attention to it. Is it something Joss put together or a known recording artist do it?
The ending seemed less jarring this time, but I think it’s because I was expecting it.
i just watched it. that was great. more summer is always good.
i liked the ending. it was bitter sweet. Caroline/Echo always wanted to save everyone from mind control of Rossum, in the end she did, but didn’t save herself from being a doll. at least, trapped in the dollhouse, sleeping in her doll bed.
by the way, is it me, or is uploading Paul to her brain unnecessary? cause i
think my brain does that after losing someone already…
ok, just read the whole thread. i have more to say
- “she’s tech head meg… she’s a girl meg!”
oh, i loled for that. i can’t believe humour was possible in such a serious and sad finale.
-
Alpha helping Victor to create the awesome cool troops. that was sweet. Question, if Alpha is capable of being so normal, why was his deal before? or is it boring to be crazy when everyone else already is crazy too?
-
Alpha asked for a favor, what was it? was Alpha’s favor to leave Echo Paul’s memory? Is that copy of Paul from the Dollhouse or from Alpha’s head?
-
The actress who played Priya is so amazing in this episode. she really can act. i only wish to see her and victor more often…
That’s how I understood it, that it was Alpha’s favor he asked. To let Echo have Paul in her mind.
Oh yeah!! Especially in Joss’s next project.
someone said Alpha was asking to be let out before Topher set the bomb. then who left the drive for Echo?
could Alpha have asked to extract the Paul personality from him and then left the building?
Okay, this always seems to happen when Tivo-ing important programs.
My TiVo missed the very last couple (seconds? Minutes?) of this episode.
So Echo goes back to her DollHouse sleeping chamber and climbs in. Wide shot up looking down on the iconic “star pattern” of the Dollhouse sleeping chamber.
Anything happen after that, or was it roll credits?
i am not the most reliable source on this… since i get the exact same thing, but i have heard right after that the Mutant Enemy “arr~ grr~” followed.
