If you are trying to grab someone, why are you armed? A- you might accidentally shoot the person you are trying to grab, and B-if they get the gun they could shoot you. They should have gone in with tazers and billy clubs.

Nah, we tease, but rarely mean it around here. They don’t call us the friendliest people in sci-fi for nothing.
And from the beginning of the 2nd season, Fox was on the fence about keeping it around.
Besides, I like to think of it as using common sci-fi themes as opposed to using old ideas cause you’ve run out of new ones.
