Citizen Kane 5/25 @ 10 PM ET

Dang! I gotta keep up with these fraks better. I’ve never actually seen Streetcar (sheepish). But I’d loooove to do classic fraks with y’all… plus, I’m on vacation now! (sort of!)

Woot! Awedra in the frak party hizzah!! Looking forward to ya joining. Bring the paaah!!

Soooo, am I alone like Charles Foster in his later years?

Decisions. Decisions. Do I frak ‘Citizen Kane’ alone? Or scrap the whole idea and hit the sack?

No, I’m here. Call me Rosebud.

Or not.

Start at :15?

Oh goodie!! Yeah I started. Xanadu in the distance.

Where’s Olivia Newton John?

First time I saw this, I didn’t think I was gonna like it. I heard so much about it and wonder how something considered by many to be the best could stand up to such praise.

I was gripped from the moment it started.

So… um…

He died alone. How did anyone know that his last word was “rosebud”?

I love the opening newsreel. You get the whole story. Then the rest of the film is what actually happened.

Yet, it’s told from the viewpoint of others. Charles Foster Kane doesn’t get to defend himself.

Nurse was outside the door. She overheard.

I’ve never seen it before.

How could the world’s greatest capitalist be a communist?

And fascist. Mud-slinging, I believe.

Isn’t the production in this amazing? So Epic in scope. Welles changes every few seconds.

But… it couldn’t have been more than a whisper. And that was a huge room, presumably with a heavy door.

…sorry, I’ll behave…

Oh, he could definitely be a fascist. Just not a communist. :stuck_out_tongue:

There weren’t any rugs. Big room. Big echo.

Welles did all this himself, didn’t he?

I never understand political philosophy. Seems such a fine line to ride. One missplaced word and you’re in a new category.

Drunk woman. That must have been fairly rare in movies at the time.
