I just thought of something. Didn’t Ring Doc refer to Devon as “the husband”? That’d mean that Ellie is the target of whatever they’re up to.
Well, she’s the Intersect’s sister, as well as the daughter of the Intersect’s creator. It’s not completely out of the realm of possibility that she might have value for the Ring.
