Choose the next Saturday night frak party arc

are there others interested in frakking the Trekfilms not scheduled in the podcast arc? or is it just me?

I figured we’d do them all, one way or another.

I’d love a Babylon 5 arc. There’s so much there.

Also love Lord of the Rings arc.

One more added for LotR.

ETA: And 'Talos makes three.

Hey, I’m calling shenanigans! No fair adding after some of us already voted…cause I’d have voted LOTR. :frowning:

And now you have.

Gracias mucho! What happens if there is a tie?

should’ve known you’d have it covered, Mr B

Geek Deathmatch, of course. :stuck_out_tongue:

DOH! I shoulda known that.

Are we starting this Saturday, or giving people a week after the finale and meet-up to recuperate?

Can I vote for LOTR too? I only voted for Dr Who before, before LOTR was an option…

Whatever comes out in the lead will begin the weekend after the Texas Meetup, on March 28, at 10 PM ET.

Done.

many thanks badger

Since it appears that LotR has won, how do we want to handle it? As pointed out to me by Uchiha Daisuke, even the not-so-special versions are 3 hours long. Knowing us, watching anything less than the extended editions is unthinkable. That ends each movie somewhere around 2 AM ET, probably way too late for most of us East Coasters. So should we start earlier, at 9 or even 8 PM ET? Split each movie into ~2-hour chunks and watch the trilogy over six weeks? Just watch the theatrical versions? Or just go ahead and watch the extended versions as is, and let frakkers drop out when they may?

One way or another, we’ll start The Fellowship of the Ring on Saturday, March 28th.

Oh, and as it came in second place, B5 will begin afterward, either on April 18th or May 9th, depending on how long LotR takes to complete.

Extended Editions. Alll in one day. Start at 10 am.

=P

Extended edition at 8 sounds good, one a week for 3 weeks

Did that for the premiere of Return of the King…not gonna do it again!

I’m an Eastie so obviously 8pm EST works best for me.

Me too, at a theater in Toronto.

I will be late for the start this Saturday, going to help my sister and brother-in-law with their computer and go to dinner with them. But I will be there!

I would say that 8 PM on Saturday would be a good time to start with the Extended edition.

But if that is the case, I’ll be coming home late that night and I’ll jump in when I can.
