I think it’s actually C-Bucks (as in Caprica Buccaneers), not Seabucks. Although you never know what Vergis would want to rename them
Oh Definitely, but it also give your opponent time to come up with their own plan.
Right! Duh. Thanx.
I just watched. Loved when Zoe fell in V-world.
Dr. Frazier(sic) flirting with Joseph, not sure how I feel about that, but Joseph better take her up on that before her character dies again!
I was afraid Daniel was gonna chop off a finger while he was cutting.
The scene after Daniel’s nightmare when he’s in bed staring at the camera was wow. Spoke volumes that I can’t put into words.
Lastly, the recurring theme seems to be don’t frak with Taurons…
Looking forward to more Tamara next week.
the theme to Caprica is so beautiful visually and the music is stuck in my head 24/7…
did anyone else feel the need to drink orange juice?
is that similar to how people torture themselves for religious reasons in The da Vinci Code?
Pretty sure Joseph and Evelyn getting together is a sure thing. In BSG somewhere, Bill’s mother is listed as Evelyn. But now we know his mother’s name is most definitely Shannon. So I’m thinking that assistant Evelyn will turn out to be stepmom to satisfy the “canon”.
I covered my eyes!
And if I remember correctly, Adm. Cain was also a Tauron. So…yeah.
Actually I had a craving for green Hi-C.
Oh, wow. That makes sense. It’s weird now that except for the chief, Baltar, and a few others, I tend to think everyone who survived on BSG as Caprican.
I’m still pullling for Joseph, but he’s still a weak link in the Adama tree.
Also, where are the Black people? We see every other ethnicity. I can only remember one African American in the entire series and he was a skin job (but I don’t count that as bad).
My bad. One of Clarice’s husband is Black too. But, other than that…
After sleeping, I found the word for Daniel’s stare after his nightmare. Haunting.
the only Asian so far in Caprica is Daniel’s assistant. But everytime i see him on screen there’s a voice that screams “Nuto Cracka~~~~~” in my head, and strange feelings in my groin…
Since my lovely rural cable provider here in the tundra that is EXTREME Northeast Ohio places SyFy on a rather higher tier than one would expect, I have to wait to watch the streaming version. I am always a day late watching. This episode was worth it, though.
This episode was good as it advanced the story. The return to the break-in reminds us of the dicta of the Russian writer Chekhov. If you show a loaded gun in the first act, it has to go off eventually. The entire theft was a loaded incident that would play out later. As we saw at the end, such started to limit the field of action Daniel Graystone can pursue.
Zoe-A is a hopeless romantic. She may be undead and the Mother Of Larry but she is still a hopeless lovestruck teenager. This happens.
Tamara Adama…prototype for the SorryBarb-kicking Sixes we saw in BSG?
I keep expecting Lacy to meet somebody from Aerelon. With her level of zealotry, she’d make a great Mother Of Baltar. The actress portraying Lacy is probably the most attractive one on the show, alas.
As for Joseph & Sam Adama…now I understand why The Admiral went into the service. He did not like the life he saw Joseph & Sam living especially with his Dad getting into loud arguments at night. This also helps explain why The Admiral and Lee were so estranged as frankly Joseph & Sam did not provide good examples to model.
This episode takes things in interesting directions…
I just watched this episode today as well. It was a bit slower in pace compared to last week, but still interesting. I am lovin’ this show!
Clarice is really good, isn’t she? Deception just rolls off her tongue easily. I kind of got chills when she was talking with her husband(s) about how to create another Zoe avatar. They talked about creating an avatar from a dead person, in order to grant the ultimate immortality. I keep thinking that is going to be significant somehow- creating the avatar once the person is deceased.
I have to say that Amanda is the least compelling character to me right now. Yes, I understand she is a grieving mother, but she does not seem to do anything else other than wander around the house aimlessly. Of course, I suppose if I lost my child, I would be good for not much more than that either. So perhaps I am being too hard on her.
I wanted to see more of the holoband world, when Joseph logged in. I wonder how he will get into New Cap City?
At the beginning of the series I felt sorry for Daniel. Now I am starting to not like him much at all. His mistakes are coming back to haunt him in a big way.
I did, and Bear McCreary as well.
From his blog: “This scene was a lot of fun to score, but also lead to a bizarre experience that’s never happened before: I began to crave food in a scene! In the process of scoring this scene, I probably watched it fifty times. So, fifty times I witnessed Vergis raise his glass of bright, tangy orange juice into the sunlight and take a sip of it. Director Michael Nankin and DP Stephen McNutt made this look like the most tasty, fresh and mouth-watering glass of orange juice in the history of fruit. After about an hour of watching this scene, I noticed that the drink looked really refreshing. By the end of the second hour, my mouth began watering the more I saw it. Finally, I had to stop and go to the frakking store and buy some damn orange juice or I was going to go insane.”
That’s hilarious, andiminga. Thanks for sharing.
that’s what the GWC hive mind is there for.
