Oh, I get it, but I think it’s one of the ugliest things you can do, to take another’s pain that they’ve confided in you and throw it back in their face.

I agree, but Spike went from i want to hit you to I want to hit that, while Buffy was freaked about her near miss, and her reaction wasn’t a surprise, but it was unkind.
