Actually, seeing Joyce’s reactions here, it’s understandable Buffy was reluctant to tell her. I mean, she is horrible.
If I’m as dense as Buffy’s mom, you have permission to hit me in the head with a sledgehammer.
Interesting exercise: During the converstion between Joyce and Buffy about the slayer reveal, substitute “slayer” with “gay”.
