Spike to Dru in the ep you just blindfrakked
On the plus side, we have all so much time to plan for next year. And think about how great it will be. I was really sad to have to leave, but the whole experience was so great that I came home jazzed about life.
It is really tough to find five great people to meet in a year, and I found 5 times that in just 3 days. I feel really lucky to have been a part of this year’s meetup and I think next year will be that much more fun.
Didn’t blindfrak. Kim fixed it.
You know, your positive outlook is making it really difficult to maintain a deep funk about being back in the real world. Knock it off!
Come on. Think of the all fun we have this year. Virtual hanging out, Talkshoe conference call, occasional meetups with people from out of town. And in a couple of months we can start to plan for next year. I am so excited about next year that I came back and started to work on the Cylon’s of the The Colony (BSG version of the Werewolves of Miller’s Hollow).
Plus I keep thinking that if I travel anywhere this year, I will get to see someone early. I spend a lot of time on the phone and even my co-workers said they heard something more energized in my voice today.
That is an awesome concept. I was just thinking today whilst walking from the train, if I won the lottery I would sink all the money into a TV network and hire everyone at GWC. We could finally establish a true SciFi network. But D’s idea is much better.
We could have a big sign:
Welcome to GWCville
Don’t be a dick
I think every city in the US should have the subtitle added to their welcome sign. Maybe it would help those that don’t seem to intuitively understand the truth of the statement.
bwaaaaaah![/center]
OK, OK, I admit it. I ran into work today, just to pick something up, and even I could tell that I was in a better mood than usual. Maybe these meetups should be quarterly.
And so shall be the whole of the law.
I would really go for quarterly if we could move it around. I could see the parts of the country I haven’t gotten to yet. So, next one in your home town???
One less plane ride? I’m in!
The one after that has to be in the Pacific Northwest. Close to home for me.
Actually, I kind of like the idea of roaming meetups.
I likely won’t be traveling for work this year, due to budget cuts. But if I get a wild hair and take a trip somewhere, I am calling for meetup where ever that may be. I had such a great time and at first I could not believe that everyone was really as nice as they are on the fourm. But they were nicer, and more fun in person! So any chance I get, whether it is me traveling, or if anyone comes to the great northwest, I will be there.
Well, Chuseandra has said it’ll be in Texas every year, but that doesn’t stop us from having an unofficial roaming one at 6-month’s mark every year.
True enough. Having seen the bulk of the equipment needed for podcasty goodness, I’d say it’s pretty much impossible to have them travel too far from home in any official capacity.
So, late September it is!
