I think it’s assumed, at this point in the show, that some time has gone by. Note Roslin’s comment, “I’m surprised it took the (media) this long to find out”.
I imagine that in the beginning, the crew of Poo Barge acted like volunteers and willing professionals, cooperating and obeying orders. Only after weeks of Kara’s erratic behavior, wild course corrections and utter lack of feedback and communications do we begin to see the fissure in the teamwork among the crew. At least, that’s my guess.
