I think Adama nailed it on the head… Roslin’s greatest fear is that the suffering she has gone through means nothing, that she is just another human on a floating barge to nowhere. She so wants to be the savior.
In a sense, she is like Baltar, and in other ways she is the opposite. Baltar wants to survive, and be celebrated by everyone. Roslin doesn’t care about survival, but she wants her life to mean something.
