eh, she’s a split personality (her actual programming and her thoughts and belief she’s human)…no bigger conflict is shown then in her suicide attempt in this episode…

I had forgotten about Baltar’s heart-to-heart with Boomer. 
I do as well because I think her perspective on 8’s “weakness” is probably flawed. I also suspect it has more to do with jealousy at her emotional responses more so than actual weakness.
Maybe too much empathy in their makeup?
