Batman Returns 11/22 @ 10 PM ET

I’ve only read a few. Mostly the ones that came out around this time.

I’d definitely recommend reading Batman: Year One and The Dark Knight Returns, both by Frank Miller. There are a lot of influences in all the movies from those books.

I would never have connected the two.

I want to pick up the book Chuck has. Was it called the Definitive Batman or something like that?

Danny DeVito’s Penguin is pretty interesting.

My usual explanation for that comes from the Smallville TV series, wherein every character has suffered multiple head injuries. I’m fairly certain that no one in Metropolis is bright enough to recognize their own mothers, much less Superman behind glasses.

“A lotta tape and a little patience.”

hehe

I’m not sure. Maybe this is it?

Catwoman has a nagging Jewish mother?

He pretty much redefined the character. All cartoon appearances after this were this sort of mutated half-human creature. Before this movie, he was Burgess Meredith.

Not sure if that translated into the comics or not.

That’s it! Thanx. 20 bucks!! I am so getting that.

Missed the beginning where are we?

Never. Never tell the boss you saw something you shouldn’t have.

27:00 in. Welcome aboard!

“I mean, it’s not like you can just kill me!”
“Actually, it’s a lot like that.”

“What did curiousity do to the cat?”

Worse than it did to the talosbunny.

I guess people that fall from incredible heights smell like tuna.

Thank you. The cat scene. More from an horror movie than a Batman one ;).

Love the return to the apartment.

See…made today…this would be Helena Bonham Carter.

There is a Enormous Steel beam in her kitchen!!

Unless you’ve got proof in a safe location that you can utilize later for blackmail purposes.

This interpretation of Catwoman gets a lot of crap, but I kind of like the semi-mystical resurrection scene, as if the cats infusing her with 9 lives.
