that was the coolest part of the mini imagine that happened for real !!1!:eek:
I’m rewatching it and man. I almost feel sorry of Sobel. He’s so sad, if he wasn’t an office he would have been fine.
I’m partway through the 2nd disc. It completely sucks you in. When those German tanks came up over the hill in Carentan, I nearly had a heart attack.
I love the interviews with the real-life heroes. Maj. Richard D. Winters is an amazing soldier. I would follow him into the breach!
Everytime I deploy, the box set comes with me.
I always watch one episode on day 1. I usually start watching alone. About ten minutes into the first episode, I’m no longer alone.
I asked for the Pacific box set for Christmas. Can’t wait to watch that.
You need to get the blurays then cause they have a picture-in-picture commentary track that doesn’t go constantly but pops in with insight from the men of Easy, talking about stuff that’s happening on screen
Wow! Really? That is OSSIM!!
this is the first time someone made me want to go buy a blueray player.
must have the blue ray now maybe santa claus will bring it
This is one of my favorite, favorite miniseries ever. Well done does not do it justice. It is a study about leadership, comaraderie, courage and friendship. So many moments are memorable, I have seen it at least ten times.
My favorite moment in the series also appears in the opening credits. It’s when a GI is sent into a building in Carentan and a large explosion happens. The guy stumbles out totally dazed and runs into Leibgott. Leibgott gently takes him and sits him down and comforts him until the medics can get there. All the while hell is breaking loose around them. A truly incredible moment in a series filled with incredible moments. I envy anyone watching them for the first time.

p.s. If you haven’t already seen it, The Pacific is equally good and filled with awesomeness.
