These voice recognition devices, always had a problem with that. Same thing with TNG communicators. What if you’re just having a normal conversation and say ON. Wouldn’t the whole room turn on?

Not that it would matter re: religion. Most of the religions currently practiced by humans are well over a thousand years old already, some significantly older. Hard to imagine that all of them would fall out of fashion in just a few more centuries.

I hear your point. However, I do think in recent years there’s been growing tolerance towards atheists, agnostics, casual worshipers, and other non-traditionally religious folks. If that number keeps growing, some of the traditional religious may start to dwindle in numbers in the next couple of hundred years.
