Reminds me of a line from the West Wing when Pres asks the Russian Ambassador where do they get the nerve to hide problems they can’t handle. Her response was “From a long, cold winter”. They seem to have a focus on greater things in order to endure the misery around them.

He’s busy. He doesn’t have time to wait around for a person to die, he has to shop for groceries and stop at the dry cleaners before he heads home.
Oh, the Soul Hunters just said he would be there “to catch you”. This is said much later in the series by another. B-5 is full of foreshadowings, I love it.

The little “glowing balls” have finally had enough of the Soul Hunter.
