AVP: Alien vs. Predator 8/2 @ 10 PM ET

There’s a scene in Predator 2 where there’s a Xenomorph “skull” in the Predator’s trophy rack. It inspired crossover comics and general excitement in the fandom, until this movie was made.

This movie is not perfect, not by a long shot, but it was awesome to see these two alien titans in the same flick.

what would we do without you, Mr B?

Now we get the back story. And aussie guy shot one hatchling only to see about 2 dozen more. Not good.

I’d be so lost.

so Sanaa is Ripley–the only one with the sense not to have wanted to go in the first place and the only one who sees the situation clearly once they’re in it

Essentially. These movies are populated with a lot of idiots who don’t listen.

Well, briefly.

Ok. He gave her a weapon. Things are starting to
look up.

looked like the Weyland-Yutani logo on that guy’s jacket

So when a Xenomorph is covered in the Predator net, it causes them to turn
on their own kind?

Good eye, D.

no, they were trying to free the queen–I think

Two things to remember:

[ol]
[li]They have acid for blood.
[/li][li]They’re smarter than you think they are.
[/li][/ol]

Yep. I get that now. What is Weyland?

so what are they now, engaged?

Noooo! Put the mask back on!!

the “Company” that owned and diverted the Nostromo in Alien–aka the soulless profit-above-all crew-expendable corporate entity

Exactly. They’re basically colony insects like bees or ants. The individuals don’t matter, as long as the Queen is safe.

nice one D!

Rut roh. Here comes grandma!

It’s meant to be a sign of respect between warriors. The Predator is acknowledging her as a peer.

awwww! he’s taking her home to meet his parents!
