Chapter 3: The Southern Air Temple
-We see an active Air Temple in Aang’s flashback and meet Aang’s mentor, Monk Gyatso.
-We meet Commander Zhao, voiced by Jason Isaacs (Lucius Malfoy of the Harry Potter series, The Patriot).
-The concept of an Agni Kai is introduced.
-A sense of Prince Zuko’s true status as a “banished” prince is made obvious by the way Zhao treats him.
-The reason for Zuko’s scar is hinted at.
-Momo is introduced and joins the gAang.
-Fun fact: Momo & Appa are voiced by the same person Dee Bradley Baker.
-The first time we hear the glowing eyes/tattoos referred to as “the Avatar State.” (Katara)

I would say it is a genetic thing. Some things get passed on to some and not to others. It could be recesive in Sokka and his kids may still get it.

Agreed about Sokka having all the best quotes. And they keep that consistent throughout the series, though once Toph is introduced they kinda make their conversations some of the funniest.
