It’s such a different ending from Buffy, but I like them both. Buffy had a sort of peaceful, contemplative final moment. Angel has been blood and guts from beginning to end. The finales fit the shows, whether long planned or rushed. Well done Mutant Enemy. Grrr. Argh.
I was just thinking about that. How about Toy Story? Or Alien:Resurrection? Or even the original Buffy movie?
Joss has said that this one had such a painful ending because of getting cancelled. They were suffering, so they figured everyone else should as well.
