It just hit me while walking around, funny how that works. I guess me mind was busy processing something else and this got stuck in a queue. Anyway, if there were only 156 colonists, how were there soooo many Aliens? Can bodies be used over and over again as incubators? The birth of an Alien is so violent you would think it renders the host useless. Maybe there is something I’m missing.
We never saw more than ten or twenty at a time, so it’s conceivable that there were only about 150 or so in total. That “flaw” may have been why the auto-gun sequence was removed in the first place, since it would seem to imply that there were hundreds of them coming toward them when there obviously couldn’t be.
Yeah, well remember in the first one the thing goes from chestbuster to GIGANTIC ALIEN in like three scenes. With no visible mass assumption.
I’m just sayin’…
That’s the part that’s bugging me. They mow down what seems like 100s of them and they keep coming. I do like the bit where the Aliens stop coming like they know their ranks are dwindling. I can see that. Still, those guns fired alotta rounds.
It’s probably just one of those instances of:
“Wasn’t it cool how many rounds those guns fired? What about the plot? pffft No one pays attention to that. Look at the 'splosions!”
