ABC picks up Defying Gravity...

I am still watching & I agree it’s getting better as it goes. However, I am annoyed that they haven’t revealed what Beta is yet. If they don’t soon I will tip over into angry.

Just watched the latest episode ‘Fear’ and I think from watching Nadia’s visions:
Nadia used to be a man
well its that or
Teen wolf…
Regarding Nadia’s visions:
I had not considered that dude. I was thinking it could be a male relative, but it sure did look like her with a beard.
Wow! I had not thought of that at all!

…Or possibly
She wants to be a man?
Well if thats not it now, it had better be good. and if that end up being right Donner is going to go through a lot during this mission…

I was wondering what anyone else thought about these events…

Donner had a vasectomy … then No longer has a vasectomy…

Zoe lost the baby and had to have a hysterectomy…

Both Donner and Zoe are having the Same dream about Zoe being Pregnant in space …

they have removed the blue dots…

Hmmmmmm

just sayin

Saw the season finale last night (well, for US viewers anyway. More on that later*). I’m a bit disappointed that they didn’t reveal what Beta is. They’re using the carrot-in-front-of-the-cart technique. I wouldn’t mind if I were interested in the rest of the story but it’s not that engaging. I actually started laughing while watching the final moments of the show. They went with the “bright light” wonder and awe moment. I’m not impressed. I bet next season is all about “bright light” experiences. “So, what did Beta show you?” commercial

The only thing I found interesting (and I may be reading too much into this) but I noticed while Jen was looking she didn’t seem to see anything of consequence and was looking at everyone else’s expressions. She has been the only one not effected by Beta. Come to think of it, has Steve had a Beta experience? Cuz he definitely saw something. Whutever.

*ABC thot it best to end the season here. It is a cliff-hanger afterall. But CTV will continue the show. So all you Canucks, when CTV airs the next episode let me know why the frak they are going to Venus?!? PM me. okthxbai.

ratings look to be sinking the show too bad… I liked the concept a lot.

Lets just hope they get a chance to tell their story…

They sure are taking their time about it.

OK. So, I flew to Canada…in my jet…with my wife…Morgan Fairchild…yeah that’s teh ticket!!

Anyway, I saw the next episode ‘Eve Ate the Apple’. It should have been called, ‘Exposition’. Remember when I was complaining about how they were taking their sweet time about revealing what the frak Beta was. Well, they dumped a whole craaaap-load and did it in a very patronizing way. I’m interested to see where this goes cuz I’m a sucker for a sci-fi mystery but this show feels like a guilty pleasure.

I don’t want to spoil for my U.S. brethren and sistren, so I’ll stop there and wait for ABC to show it…whenever they do.

you come to Canada and you don’t even call?? its cause the whole dead to me thing isn’t it, i 'm sorry but hockey is important up here…

and i thought we were flamingo’s

Sorry Boom Boom. Morgan is a demanding woman. You don’t want to know what I had to go through to watch the show.

I tied her up. She liked it.

Okay- so where has Defying Gravity gone to? I can’t see any info on when it will air again on ABC. Anyone know anything?

abc stopped showing the episodes; pretty much cancelled the show. ctv up here in canada plans for now to show the remaining few episodes, but i doubt that they will be able to fund a second season without the backing of another network… but who knows maybe they will give it a second season.

I watched the first episode of the series over the weekend and I thought it was great. Not nearly enough shows about space exploration. I heard it was cancelled but I really hope that doesnt stop networks from creating these types of shows. We have had some good stuff in the past few years that have paved the way for more primetime scifi in space, but a few failures and I am afraid the networks will just give up.

If they’re gonna cancel something, then give it closure for frak’s sake! I really liked the show, despite its flaws and feel like they pulled the rug out from under me. Damn!

According to “the futon critic”, ABC did not cancel the show.

Alright, I gave this show a bad rap. I’m not gonna duck it. I felt FOX cancelled ‘Virtuality’ in lieu of ‘Defying Gravity’. I thot ‘Virtuality’ had more substance and intrigue. Of course I was right cuz I’m me. That being said, ABC couldn’t have picked a worse time to stop the series. The last episode they aired did not leave me wanting more. I was annoyed because I felt teased and then unfulfilled.

They promoted the show as ‘Grey’s Anatomy’ in space. And truth be told, the episodes they showed lived up to that explanation. Having seen the next five unaired episodes, I can tell you this is not ‘Grey’s Anatomy’ in space. I really wish ABC had shown the five episodes shown in Canada. They started to delve into the topics I hoped ‘Virtuality’ would. Who are we? Why are we here? Is there “something” else in this universe? Are we ready for that knowledge?

Alas, we’ll never know. The show has been cancelled. If you’re interested (I know I was), you can find out where ‘Defying Gravity’ was headed here. I know I gave the show a bunch of craaaap but I’m said to hear it cancelled. I think it would have grown on me.

How did you get to see those unaired episodes? I really liked the show, despite it’s faults.
