All kiddin’ aside, with all this White Walker stuff, I think we will see some folks back from the dead. Ned is missing his head so he would be the exception to the zombie rule. GRRM might dig that.

Ned faking his death was quite the forward-thinking plan. It rubbed me the wrong way at first, but with all the magic going on, the time-travel arc in book4 really does make sense.

I know you meant it as a joke. I was jokingly serious that Sansa would be happy about a pony, but Arya is a figher who would prefer to ride on her Nymeria.
You know what was great what we saw. The one Joffrey-centric chapter in book 4 where the stableboy Mycah who got butchered after the Prince’s orders in S1 returns and haunts him.
At first, I didn’t buy the reveal of Ned Stark and Joffrey being the same person. If you go back and read the first six books, it’s clearly a retcon, but it does kinda work.

If you’re having a hard time with the length of 3, you’re going to have trouble with the next two. Without spoiling anything both 4 and 5 really needed to be cut down significantly. I happen to like long books, but a good editor would have made them way more enjoyable
